I was fortunate to be present at the Fantastic Fest screening of "Solomon Kane." The theater was packed full and sadly many in the crowd of young people awaiting outside with 'stand-by" tickets did not get to see the film. Those that did applauded the film warmly at its conclusion. Harry Knowles of AICN led the question-and-answer segment afterwards. Director Michael J. Bassett was on hand to field the queries. He is a friendly, personable guy and an extremely articulate advocate for the film. He made a lot of friends that night for "Solomon Kane." If you are seeking a traditional adventure film blended with sword and sorcery, beautifully rendered with first class production values, then "Solomon Kane" is the film for you.
